The Clean-up of Mining Tailings is essential for restoring ecosystems and preventing any more long-term environmental damage.
Mining Tailings are waste materials left behind after extracting minerals from ore. This industrial process (heap leaching) is completed using a mix of toxic chemicals to extract precious metals, including gold, copper, uranium, silver and other minerals from ore. using a series of chemical reactions that absorb specific minerals and re-separate them after their division from other earth materials.
Heap leaching is the preferred method for miners worldwide, largely due to the fact that capital investment needs and more importantly the cost of production is considerably lower in comparison with other conventional methods of ore extraction such as “carbon in leach” (CIL). Heap leaching only works with oxidized minerals where gold is found molecularly free.
The remaining residue from leaching is either a chemical sludge mixture or chemically saturated rock called Tailings.

Our clean-up system is a green, environmentally safe process s a sustainable extraction method, which safely sequesters all waste material, which is recycled and/or processed making mining operations environmentally friendly.
With the increased need for gold, platinum, lithium and many other rare earth minerals, mining has continued to grow. Any ore mined after leaching or any leaching process ends up in tailing piles or dams. This residual ore is a disaster for the environment with toxic chemicals leaching into the ground, groundwater, streams, and oceans causing devastating damage. Currently worldwide, approximately 14 billion tons of new tailings are produced annually.
The benefits of the clean-up of tailings, are as follows:
1. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: By removing toxic minerals and heavy metals, the risk of environmental contamination is virtually eliminated.
2. WATER CONSERVATION: The system is a closed loop system minimizing water usage and it also prevents water pollution.
3. WASTE REDUCTION: while the process extracts valuable minerals from the tailings it produces non-toxic gravel which can then be re-purposed, thus reducing the amount of waste sent to tailings storage facilities.
4. ECONOMIC BENEFITS: Reduced costs of production compared to traditional extraction methods, combined with the sale of extracted minerals, and the non-toxic gravel can be used for construction and infrastructure projects, thereby removing the need for tailing piles and dams.
5. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: The reduction of environmental impacts and the production of non-toxic materials aligns with our social responsibility and sustainability goals. The closed loop system is a cutting-edge solution for responsible ore extraction and mine tailings management.
It’s implementation is expected to have a massive positive impact on the mining industry and a very positive impact for the environment.
